Many students at Middlesex Community College may not be aware, but recently the school’s website address has changed a bit. The .commnet from our URL is no longer present. This adjustment occurred after a small change in leadership at the system level allowed for a change in web management. This change allows for easier navigation to the website and allows the college to finally have a URL without the .commnet attached to it.
While MxCC has always owned the URL that is being used now (www.mxcc.edu), due to the restrictions set down by the previous systems leaders the college was unable to use it.
A few months ago, a new leader was appointed in the information resources management department. This change in leadership allowed for the removal of restrictions from the website, thus allowing the .commnet to be dropped.
Due to the change in leadership, this revision was be swiftly put into effect.
Thanks to the removal of this pesky .commnet, MxCC is finally able to have a true college URL. Go check out the URL change at www.mxcc.edu.
